Cheese & Wine Night.

I don't wear fancy pants a lot because I don't believe I'm fancy, but the only time I attempt to be fancy is when I have a cheese and wine night with my love, MVamos. My wine night is inexpensive and very simple. I buy my cheeses at Trader's Joes because it's inexpensive and there are all kinds of cheeses that I can choose from to try. I usually stray away from the goat and blue cheeses because those aren't my cup of tea. And as for the wine, we like to go to the two buck chuck because I think it tastes just fine and if I'm not able to finish it I can use it for cooking. I am no wine connoisseur and I am okay with that because drinking and describing wine as "oaked", "toasty", "charcoal", or "fleshy" is just too damn strange for me. I just want good lol.. Anywho... the cheeses that we ate were....

1) Italian Truffle Cheese.. This had a mild flavor and I thought this tasted pretty decent. The texture of the cheese would be good as a melting cheese. Perhaps grilled cheese. MVamos didn't like it so much because he said it smelled like stinky feet which did not help his experience with the taste haha..
2) Gloucester Cheese w/ Onions and Chives.. I like this cheese and I wish I had crackers specifically for this cheese because it was very spreadable. MVamos did not think this had any stinky feet smell lol.
3) Toscano Cheese (soaked in Syrah).. This was my favorite cheese for the night because it was sharp (I like sharp cheeses) but it was still a bit sweet. Texture was not too hard or soft, it can still be crumbled and it had cheese crystals, calcium lactate, which adds my liking to the texture. MVamos gives this a thumbs up.
4) Citterio Fresco Sopressata & Asiago.. I always buy this with any new cheeses that I want to try because its inexpensive (although they raised it by 30 cents recently.. err) and I love Asiago and Soppressata salami.

Oh! And we watched "Midnight in Paris". It was très bon!
