Yummy Kiwi Mojitos!

Three blog posts in one week.. I'm feeling quite ambitious, but I'm sure this won't last especially if there aren't things going on. Anyway.. I'm not big on drinking alcoholic beverages just because most of the time I don't think they are too tasty and I'm somewhat health conscious. But there are a few drinks that I do enjoy such as.. wine, mules, and especially mojitos! Pretty much anything refreshing and I typically drink only one.. I can babysit a drink ALL night.

So today was such a nice day in San Diego and I wanted to do something fun... meaning.. I want to do something different than my usual Saturdays. MVamos and I went to the grocery shopping and I came up with the idea of making ceviche and kiwi mojitos to enjoy today's lovely weather. The mojito I made was different than the traditional recipe.. instead of white rum, we used vodka (just because we had it on hand) and I completely forgot about the lime... whoops! But it still turned out yummy. Here are the ingredients I used..

Kiwi
Vodka
Mint leaves
Sugar cane sugar
Sprite
Ice cubes

I would like to give you the measurements I used for each ingredients.. but I pretty much eye-balled it. I also improvised with some of the tools.. I didn't have a muddler so I just used the end of a wooden stirring spoon and I didn't have a shaker so I used a coffee thermos.. haha it worked so bleh. I did wish that I used crushed ice instead because it would have been able to hold the mint leaves at the bottom of the cup instead of it floating on the top. Ah well!

Cheers!
