So I had a chance to go blueberry picking and wine tasting over the weekend with MVamos and another lovely couple. I wasn't expecting too much from the blueberry picking, but it was cute and pretty fun. I wouldn't do it all day, but it was a good experience. Anyway, I wanted to bake blueberry muffins with the blueberries we had picked but MVamos did not have a muffin/cupcake pan so I made bread instead.
I somewhat followed a basic recipe on cooks.com and it turned out pretty okay. It looked great, but it could have been much sweeter. The recipe called for one cup of sugar and in my opinion that's just too much so I just eye balled it. So pretty much it tasted whole wheat bread with blueberries and a teeny hint of sweetness. Next time I think I'll cook the blueberries on the stove top so it can release more of the natural sugars and simple just add more sugar... So what did I learn? I learned that I know how to make whole wheat bread.. hehe..
