DaoFu San Diego.

MVamos and I decided to use one of our restaruant.com certificates this weekend and we chose DaoFu. I've been to DaoFu a handful of times and this establishment is just fantastic. It's a mix between Vietnamese and Japanese Cuisine which is a mix you don't really see too often. The restaurant is owned by a very nice Vietnamese husband and wife. This is a hidden gem/hole in the wall and you would have never guessed that this restaurant is just amazing. It's a small establishment and the wait can be up to an hour but I think it is very well worth it.

They give you a complimentary salad with tofu made in-house. I'm not a big fan of tofu, but their tofu has a distinct taste and it's made fresh so the taste is something I don't mind eating. It's really good. MVamos had ordered the steamed snapper and the fish was cook perfectly and it came with wild rice and lots of veges. I ordered their chicken curry with wild rice- it's probably one of my favorite dishes here. Also! If you want spicy.. they will give you spicy.. super spicy! And lastly.. at the end every meal they offer complimentary ice cream! This place is just fantastic!

mmm.. spicy..
